50 – 51 MHz High Selectivity, High Q, Low Loss Band pass Filter BPF
Band pass Filter BPF uses high Q coils with unloaded Q of more than 1000, and capacitors with Q more than 2500. Low loss of the filter is achieved with careful design and adjustment. The best receiving band-pass filter designed for 6 meter band. Narrow Bandwidth.
The recorded data on the assembled filter with HP8753ES full 2-port calibrated are presented below.
Return Loss (S11)
Insertion Loss (S21)

Achieved results on a built Bandpass filter:
7 MHz = -90 dB
14 MHz = -72 dB
28 MHz = -45 dB
50 MHz = -0.11 dB
51 MHz = -0.12 dB
70.2 MHz = -33 dB
88 MHz = -49 dB
108 MHz = -61 dB
144 MHz = -89 dB
432 MHz = -64 dB
These excellent results were achieved by careful selection of components and design of the filter. This type of filter is necessary when you have nearby strong HF (1.8 – 30 MHz), 70 MHz, 144 MHz station or FM transmitter.

Positions of connectors are selected so that the filter can be used in our “DB” plastic box for outdoor mounting.

For this type of filter, almost nothing will disturb the noise performance of preamplifiers, which is especially important in terrestrial and EME (Earth – Moon – Earth) communications. It will further ensure smooth operation in the presence of strong signals.
