3 Elements, 70 – 70.5 MHz – 4 meter band Yagi antenna: PA70-3-1A
The best performance antenna in the class length of 1m. Direct 50 Ohm feed. Designed for portable use as well as stationary antenna. All screw, nuts and bolts stainless steel. Antenna is pre-tuned, so no need to move, cut or use rasp file for any element to get perfect SWR on intended frequency range. A short boom, wide-band 3 element antenna cover the entire band with SWR <1.2 from 70 MHz to 70.5 MHz.
Everything is included in the antenna box: Antenna, balun with connector and bracket. 70 MHz Ham Radio Yagi is perfect for field days since its very easy to assemble. 15 minutes is sufficient. All antenna parts are labeled, so it is extreme easy to assemble. Just put number to number.
Elements are tapered to reduce vibrations at high winds. Boom is just 1 meter long. Since this Ham Radio antenna has 3 elements it very easy to set up. Antenna is very good for field day since it is light-weight or permanent setup since antenna is very sturdy. Starting element diameter is 12 mm, middle part 10mm and 8mm ends. Tapered elements will reduce the wind-load. This Ham Radio antenna has wide azimuth radiation pattern. 70 MHz 3 element is good for vertical stacking in permanent setup since this wide angle allows listening to Ham Radio stations without frequent rotator movement.
PA70-3-1A is pre tuned antenna.
Before dispatch, we assemble each and every antenna and test antenna characteristics. That means you can expect all the electrical and mechanical characteristics including low SWR across the designed range immediately after assembling.
No need to move, cut, tune or use rasp for any element to get perfect SWR on intended frequency range. Everything is pre tuned.
That lead also to another very important detail.
When assemble and test each antenna is complete with all washers, nuts, bolts guy rope supports etc. When packing all parts are already on antenna. Without possibilities to “forget” important parts to put in the box. So you will always receive complete antenna what we tested just before dispatching.
Power options:
Antenna does not have power limit, only limitations are in used balun and antenna connector. Default maximum power input is 850 W.
Antenna label | Maximum Input Power |
---|---|
PA70-3-1A | 850 W |
PA70-3-1AP | 1500 W |
PA70-3-1AE | 2500 W |
PA70-3-1AEX | 7500 W |
Antenna Power Rating does not affect electrical or mechanical characteristics of the antenna. PA70-3-1A, PA70-3-1AP, PA70-3-1AE, PA70-3-1AEX have the same characteristics, only difference is in antenna maximum input power.

Eden –
The antennas are up & working great. I decoded S50B many times yesterday on 8m but was not in the shack then. Have been working with guys in the US and also decoded EI4GEB.
I hope to make some Qs on 4m when the band opens up.
