50 MHz 7 Elements Super Yagi Antenna for DX & Contesters PA50-7-9BGP.
Low Noise High Gain PA50-7-9BGP will make sure you can hear weak signals and give you the extra edge you need in contests or just enjoy the Ham Radio Hobby. 7 Element 50 MHz Yagi provides stunning performance across the DX band: 50 – 50.5 MHz. 6 Meter band antenna.
Calculating with full 3D EM Software gives an opportunity for uncompromised performance. Much better than any other world competition. High gain, heavy suppression of all side lobes. Solid construction that can withstand strong gusts of wind of more than 150 km/h!
Guy rope support is specially made for high winds, heavy rains, or strong Sun. Designed tapered elements reduce wind load, as well as vibrations in the wind.
Pre-tuned antenna:
Before dispatch, we assemble each and every antenna and test antenna characteristics. That means you can expect all the electrical and mechanical characteristics including low SWR across the designed range immediately after assembling.
No need to move, cut, tune or use rasp for any element to get perfect SWR on the intended frequency range. Everything is pre-tuned.
That also leads to another very important detail.
When assemble and test each antenna is complete with all washers, nuts, bolts guy rope supports, etc.
When packing all parts are already on the antenna. Without the possibility of “forgetting” important parts to put in the box. So you will always receive the complete antenna that we tested just before dispatching.
Antenna Power Options.
PA50-7-9BGP antenna does not have power limit, only limitations are in used balun and antenna connector. Default maximum power input is 1500 W.
Antenna label | Maximum Input Power |
---|---|
PA50-7-9BGP | 1500 W |
PA50-7-9BGE | 2500 W |
PA50-7-9BGEX | 8000 W |
Antenna Power Rating does not affect electrical or mechanical characteristics of the antenna. PA50-7-9BGP, PA50-7-9BGE, PA50-7-9BGEX have the same characteristics, only difference is in antenna maximum input power.
Like all our antennas, PA50-7-9BGP antenna is a full package. Everything is included in the antenna box. The antenna, the balun with the connector and the bracket with the clamps. Designed to last.

Major step forward in Ham Radio communication.
Antenna has been calculated with the latest full 3D Electromagnetic Simulation Software, with included the influence of the boom, brackets and connectors.
Performances of such way designed antenna are extraordinary better than antennas “designed” with just wire programs like EZNEC Pro/4 – NEC v4.2 or NEC v5.0, 4NEC2, MMANA, AO or YO that can’t calculate influence of any metallic structure near the antenna elements.
That will lead to wrong predicted antenna performance like gain (about -0.2 to -0.5 dB), SWR (when tuned often very sharp resonance) and specially F/B (up to -20 dB worse than predicted) and accordingly absolute wrong G/T. Much worse than predicted. Just excellent on paper or web page but not in reality.

Bruce N9BX achieved excellent results with this 6m DX and EME antenna PA50-7-9BGP
The New PA50-7-9BGP 7 Element 6 Meter Yagi is in the Air. First day and LU, CE, and HC on FT8, must have been a TEP opening. But antenna has a 1.0 to 1 SWR and Sits at 42 Feet. One man assembly and one man put it up on tower.
Excellent antenna.
