AIS 162MHz Marine Tracking Low Noise Preamplifier with BPF
This AIS 162MHz Marine Tracking Low Noise Preamplifier is designed to enhance weak VHF AIS signals (161–163 MHz) and extend their reception range. It features a low-loss input bandpass filter to protect against interference from out-of-band stations, preventing overload. For optimal performance, the preamplifier should be installed as close as possible to the AIS antenna. The length of the cable connecting the AIS preamplifier to the AIS receiver or SDR dongle is not critical, as the preamplifier compensates for cable loss and improves sensitivity, often enhancing performance by up to 150%

What others say about AIS Preamplifier with Band Pass Filter and Antennas:
I got the 162AIS10 Yagi Antenna up yesterday.
They’re looking pretty good.
I’ve received up to 553 km distance during the night to King Island Lighthouse. That’s pretty good, I think.

There has been some further development since the last email.
Have now been able to hear out to 1073 km on the marine tracking array. Keeping in mind that marine tracking transmitters are only 12 watts FM.
