Bandpass filters are perfect for multi-station environments like special events, field days, and portable operations to protect receivers from excessively strong out-of-band signals. Our 160-meter filter is designed for extremely low loss from 1.8-2 MHz (160-meter band), less than 0.1 dB! Out-of-band interference is extremely suppressed. The filter is ideal for both reception and transmission. The 160-meter bandpass filter is rated at 4000 W, but filters are designed for more power than presented. The Bandpass filter is placed in a powder-coated aluminum box. Silver-plated Teflon SO239 connectors and excellent filter design enable extremely low losses through 160 meters band and high attenuation of out-of-band signals.

In-band insertion loss is less than 0.12 dB (1.8 MHz – 2 MHz). The second harmonic is suppressed by more than 40 dB! Measurements on the assembled filter were done with an HP8753ES full 2-port calibrated.
