2 Meter Band-Pass Filter with 144 – 146 MHz Very Low Noise Preamplifier.
Device contains High Selectivity, High Q, Low Loss Bandpass Filter with PGA-103+ Preamplifier.
This 144 – 146 MHz Band-pass filter will be perfect to suppress out of band signals
144 – 146 MHz band-pass filter and amplifier in one!
This combination consists of two devices:
Achieves better results than two separate components. Lower NF about 0.05 to 0.1 dB. Thanks to two less connectors.
Measured results with HP8753ES network analyzer full two port calibrated:

144.1 MHz | + 25 dB NF = 0.7 dB (Calculated band pass filter insertion loss) |
146 MHz | + 25.1 dB NF = 0.7 dB (Calculated band pass filter insertion loss) |
288.2 MHz | – 34 dB |
296 MHz | – 36.5 dB |
432.1 MHz | – 46 dB |
440 MHz | – 44 dB |
IP3out | > 37 dBm |
Power consumption: | +10-15 V / 100 mA |
These excellent results were achieved by careful selection of components and design.
Thanks to input filtering this preamplifier and band pass filter combination are much more immune to interference from strong out-of-band signals. Compared to output filtering.
Measured Return Loss (S11) and Insertion Loss (S21) of 144 – 146 MHz Band-Pass Filter and Amplifier:
Band pass filter enclosed in strong 0.8 mm sheet brass box. Strong mechanics will ensure stability and longevity.
Version with relays is here. (EME 2 – 144 MHz)
